Tattoo Addendum: Image

I was doing some image surfing, and I found this:

This is the sort of look I am envisioning: it is graceful, feminine. It is in the Japanese style, and features water. Color is bolder than I would like, but the image is a unified image with a central theme. Adn it is Beautiful.

I want something like this, but as a sleeve, maybe.

  1. Take the concept and envelope it as your own. You are an artist. If you choose to have a tattoo, it should reflect who YOU are…

  2. I don’t want to be that skinny. Corset much?

I already suggested a tattoo but it’s clear you don’t appreciate my artistic vision. Good day ma’am :3

  3. I have five tattoos and I love them all. My favorite one currently is located behind my left ear. My final one will be on my back down the middle between my shoulder blades. I want it to be a cherry blossom branch with a butterfly coming out of it’s cocoon. I really love the Japanese designs too and the movement in this one is really beautiful.

  4. i wish i were brave enough to get a tattoo this substantial.

i can’t wait to see what you end up with. i don’t really have any suggestions except… make it your own. really, you won’t be satisfied with any thing the rest of us might conjur… this needs to come from you 🙂

  5. It’s beautiful, very graceful. And you have to see pictures of Franki’s if you haven’t already.

Which arm is going to be the canvas?

  6. P.S. This is one of my all time favorite poems. I thought since you are the artsy writing type you’d appreciate it. : )

    First Poem for You

    BY KIM ADDONIZIO

I like to touch your tattoos in complete
darkness, when I can’t see them. I’m sure of
where they are, know by heart the neat
lines of lightning pulsing just above
your nipple, can find, as if by instinct, the blue
swirls of water on your shoulder where a serpent
twists, facing a dragon. When I pull you
to me, taking you until we’re spent
and quiet on the sheets, I love to kiss
the pictures in your skin. They’ll last until
you’re seared to ashes; whatever persists
or turns to pain between us, they will still
be there. Such permanence is terrifying.
So I touch them in the dark; but touch them, trying.
