Newsday Tuesday #5

Britney acts bad and loses the kids. Hey, we all knew it was bound to happen.

A Health Care Duh! Wait, isn’t this old news?

A war tax? Should Americans pay for a political war?

This is Art? I think the lines are getting a bit too blurry here!

Yet another food guru chimes in. When are Americans going to understand that moderate consumption of everything is what makes you healthy and thin? Food is food!

  1. 1: there are a lot of moms/dads worse than britney who get to keep their kids. I just don’t understand.

    2. Yes, it is old news. Yet, people are getting sicker.

    3. Does the question matter? If we don’t pay our deficeit won’t go away.

    4. Art is too subjective for me to answer.

    5. sad but true.

  3. 1. I don’t really care, other than that those kids need a stable home with loving parents and somehow I don’t think either will be able to provide it.

    2. and yet the republicans still think that the free market model of health care that we have is the best. It’s funny, but both houses of congress enjoy the very kind of health care they decry – government provided. They get it from the Navy at Bethesda.

    3. So far the “fiscally responsible” Bush administration has done nothing to fund the war, every bit of it is borrowed, putting us in the deepest deficit this country has ever had. This is fiscal responsibility? You can’t pay a trillion dollar debt with tax cuts or a smaller government.

    4. there’s a long tradition of participatory art, but it is usually in public. this is a bit of a stretch for me to call it art. sounds more like a sophisticated prank to me.

    5. eat in moderation and exercise regularly. (I should follow my own advice!)

  4. It must be hard to be a has-been at 25. Britney has never had to do anything she didn’t want to do, and seems to lack the character, not surprisingly, to start now. Those children are being screwed either way.
